Description Information

Originally published in the mid 1970's as interest in Virginia fraktur was growing.  Now updated with notes by archivist Jean M. Martin with additional notes on the "Stoney Creek Artist."  The author, Klaus Wust, was one of the major contributors to a better understanding of the cultural heritage and history of the German immigrants who settled in the Shenandoah Valley. He devoted his life to the scholarly pursuit of that study as witnessed by his many publications, including this well-illustrated examination of Virginia fraktur.
